FAITH IN GOD

V. FAITH IN GOD

1. MYSTERY OF FAITH

18.09.2012

God in the Holy Trinity Human souls are capable of great good and great evil. I enable them towards good. However, their fall has opened them to the action of evil and has weakened their will, so they would be prone to evil and weak toward doing good. Therefore, the soul who does not draw power from Divine gifts will not have the strength to climb all the way to heaven. Souls who do not strengthen themselves with My Body cannot perfect themselves to the degree, which will enable them to a union with Me, and thus a direct accession to My glory in heaven.

a. Faith as a condition for receiving and administering holy sacraments. Nourishment with the Body of Lord Jesus – a certain condition of salvation

Human souls gain power and strength by joining in the merits of My passion. Through faith in My life, My death and My resurrection, they obtain justification for their sins. My Passion is a remedy for souls who believe in its healing power. Only those, who believe that I have redeemed them, are redeemed by the power of this Blood, which has become a payment for their sins. Thus, the consumption of My Body without this faith will not bring you anything. Sooner, My children, it will bring you perdition, because without faith, you can easily succumb to the prompting of the evil one not to listen to the Church, which teaches you about the purity of the soul with which one should receive Me. So whoever receives Me without faith, into a heart full of trespasses, brings upon himself a great punishment for the desecration of My Holy Body and for squandering many graces, which he wastes irrevocably.

The abuse of holy sacraments is severely punished, because the sacraments are not just signs through which Catholics remind themselves about My life, teaching and death. The sacraments of the Church are I, the living God, who through the sacrament and in the sacrament, come down on earth to commune with My creation, to give Myself to it already here on earth through the graces and the gifts of My Spirit, so it may persevere in the good despite its weakness, and already possess a pledge of eternal life, of heaven in which I am waiting for it. I said to you: whoever eats this bread will not die, but will live forever, and I will raise him on the last day. Therefore, the one who consumes with faith will also obtain forgiveness and life through faith. However, the one who does not believe, let him not approach the holy forms, let him not sully the holy sacraments, so he would not be condemned by Me. It is better for you not to make use of My graces than to defile them before My eyes. You do it for purely human reasons, forgetting about the essence of the sacraments, which is My presence in them. Thus, faith is a bridge to Me, but also a condition for the extraction of the grace that I want to give you.

b. Faith as a condition for obtaining graces and drawing upon the power of God

Faith has different degrees of perfection, from the lowest, which is indispensable to participate in the life of the Church, to the highest, in which man parts with the reality of the world and lives in the reality of faith, which begets salutary effects in his soul, uniting him forever with My Divinity. Over the course of history, I have shown to My people how great is the power of faith and how close to Me is the one, who believes how many graces he can obtain and how much he can unite his existence with Me, (That) I Am. By believing, you gain the right to draw from My power, wisdom and strength. I open spaces for you that are not accessible to pagans and you step into the world, in which I live. You breathe the air that I breathe and use the world as I use it. The world is obedient to My orders, because everything that is, exists thanks to My Word, and thus will always be obedient to this Word, thanks to which it exists. All matter is a reality subjected to My Will, and owing to that fact it surrenders toward faith, through which you unite with Me.

The secret of approaching Me during life on Earth is and remains the power of faith. My Word exists and lives, thanks to which the faith, of which you are the owners, reveals to you the truth about the submission of the world towards My Word. Nothing can exist beside My Word and nothing can stand against My Word. I reward generously for faith, allowing the soul to benefit from My power and authority.

The one who believes gives Me the opportunity to act, to fulfill My Will and perform miracles of My grace. Only the one who believes can commune with Me. The more he believes, the closer I am to this soul and the more I give Myself to her.

The soul who believes is My joy. Thus, I will cultivate her faith, perfecting her through sufferings and trials, so her faith may reach the summit, which I Myself am. So that through faith, she may break through to Heaven itself, rise in a sort of way to the Creator Himself, where she will behold Him already without any veil. Faith is the strength that lifts the soul to God. Thanks to faith, it is possible for you to eat what is not edible an drink what is not a beverage and live, as if you were eating and drinking, yet living only on the Word. Through faith, it is possible for you to live as spiritual beings despite having bodies, bodies that are weak and sinful.

Thanks to the faith of Mary, the Word became Flesh in Her and dwelt among the people. Thanks to Mary, man was redeemed, because there was a creature on Earth with such great faith, which enabled God to fulfill his eternal Will of the salvation of man. Faith opens mankind to My action and allows Me to fulfill My Will, which is always goodness.

c. Faith as a way to possess God on earth

I desire to announce to you that it is unwise to fear faith. The one who believes cannot err. Faith is an attribute of God, it is exclusively Mine and only I can grant it. Thus, you are wrong to be fearful, because I always grant it to the soul to the extent to which she tries to preserve it. (…) Only I alone possess this gift, which is for you the matter connecting man with God. Faith is My life in you. I put it in your hearts when you ask Me for it by dedicating your children to Me in the first Sacrament, in which I give Myself to you. Faith is Me, visible through a veil. It is not the veil,  but Me alone, whom you can possess to the extent to which you multiply this gift in yourselves. I am not saying that I am faith, no, but remember that on earth you possess Me precisely as faith. You do not possess Me in a different form, but only through faith and in faith. The veil for you is the world, and I am present in your hearts through faith.

Be mindful of what I desire to tell you. By giving birth to faith in the heart of a baptized child, it is as if I were born in it Myself, because faith is the life of the soul and I alone am the only life. Thus, faith is not God, but it is the “whole God” that you can possess during your lifetime.

     – But You always are in the holy forms, regardless of faith.

Of course, My daughter, but only he who believes possesses Me. He who believes possesses My presence during the celebration of the most holy sacrifice and communes with Me in the sacrament of penance, but he possesses Me only to the extent to which his faith allows it. Although I am whole in these sacraments, with My whole Divinity and all attributes, yet you possess Me and commune with Me only to the extent to which you possess faith, and thus not everyone in the same way, but everyone to the extent of how he believes. This faith precisely is everything that you possess here, on Earth. Your possession of Me on Earth is equal to your faith. (…) People think that by doubting in Me they act rationally, because they use their minds. And yet by doubting, you always lose faith, and thus also My way of dwelling in you and with you.

d. Faith after death

Thus, human souls on Earth possess Me as faith. After the death of the body, the soul rises up to Me to the measure of her faith and love. And so, some souls who possessed Me to the highest degree, perfecting their faith, are seeing Me without the veil of the world. By possessing Me already on Earth, they only abandon the world; so by throwing away this veil, they see Me and possess Me as they desire. Death is for them a moment of liberation, an instant in which they obtain the Subject of their faith forever, to the extent to which they desired Him during life. It is like possessing during the entire life the photo of a beloved, who, however, is located at a distance, and after death grabbing him by the hand and possessing him entirely and completely. No matter how I would impart Myself to the soul during life thanks to her faith, I always remain at a distance. I allow the soul to desire Me to the degree to which her desire embodies the fullness of My life in the soul and no longer allows her to remain in the body. Then, I take away her body, due to which she could not see Me clearly and explicitly.

Souls who possessed Me admittedly through faith, but because of its inadequacy cannot yet join Me in the place of My glory, possess Me still, but no longer through faith, but through the flames, in which they see exactly what was till now the subject of their faith.  The world is no longer a veil, but their degree of knowledge of Me is far from the degree in which My saints see Me. The clear picture of My divinity is obscured to them by their own offenses, from which they must be cleansed. The flames of My justice are the only way in which the souls can feel Me. Thus, they are painfully cleansed because of their sins, but also they desire those flames, because they desire Me. For a pure soul, the closeness of God is a light in which her face shines; for an unpurified soul, it is a fire that burns her, because the slightest imperfection and blemish cannot stand before God. So all the impurities burn in the soul, who feels the closeness of God through this fire, and despite the suffering, and even together with the suffering, her thirst for God increases. Thus, for souls suffering in purgatory, God is fire, because they get to know Him as fire into which they enter despite the suffering, because they know that He is Love, and having obtained Him for eternity, they suffer because they came to this meeting unprepared.

Write, My daughter. Souls who do not experience the flames are souls who were cleaner than others, but still insufficiently prepared. They are not burned by the flames, but only by the inner desire. There are also souls who do not attain possession of Me neither in life nor after death. For these I am the fire of hell, the fire of eternal justice, which burns them as My justice, but does not burn their faults and does not purify their souls. (…)

My daughter, you are right not asking Me all the questions that arise as you are learning My words. You can never obtain clarity as to the dimensions covered by My mystery. Man must praise Me for all that I have revealed to him. He does not need to understand Me, because not reasoning is a condition of Salvation, but faith.

4. LORD JESUS HEALS THROUGH FAITH

11.10.2013

Lord Jesus:  (…) My apostles and people living simultaneously with Me saw the image of God, but could not believe because I was a Man, and they were expecting God whom Moses saw. They were unable to accept God as the Holy Trinity and they were unable to believe in Me, though they saw My signs. Today, you believe in Me as God and as a Man, you acknowledge the existence of the Holy Trinity, but you cannot believe in Me, now hidden not in the human nature, but in the holy Forms. But I profess a truth regarding you: he who believed that I am and remain God in human nature, was touched by My divine intervention. And also today, he who will believe in Me under the forms of Bread and Wine, will experience My Divine grace.

In My House, I always dwell with My Mother. Come to Me if you want to meet Her. (…)

Remember that if you had faith in My true presence in the Blessed Sacrament and My true goodness, miracles would happen in every church. (…) I dwell with My power in every parish church. (…)

Come with faith before My face. Do not enter unwittingly. Before entering, become aware that in a moment you will stand before Me. Just as before entering someone else’s home you adjust your appearance, so before entering My Home, adjust it consciously, but not so much in the sphere of the body as in the sphere of the spirit. Prepare your souls for this meeting, hush up and focus on what will happen in a moment. Open the doors and I will be before you, as a Man and as God, shielded by the mystery of the senses, but truly present, alive, compassionate, longing, lonely and full of mercy. (…)

9. TO LIVE BY FAITH

a) To live by faith from an early age

13.01.2014

Saint Agnes:  Today I will not speak for long, but I will tell you about my life, to give you testimony that you can live by faith and for faith, not only in situations of danger, when the whole truth about the faith of man comes to light, but in everyday life, which is not yet about life-and-death decisions, or at least does not seem to ask for such decisions. The truth, however, is such that man decides already from an early age about his future fate, choosing between good and evil. If he yields to evil and does not desire good, it can be a life-and-death decision, because he risks falling into sins, getting used to bad habits and developing evil inclinations, which later it will be very difficult to remove. None of us knows how long we will live and our life does not belong to us. Man was created by God and only the one God knows how many years He gave him to spend on Earth. If from an early childhood man begins to follow the good, it will be much easier for him to walk the right path in the future. If he is left alone to himself without a proper education, then, without an extraordinary grace of God, he can succumb to an easy life and get used to choosing things that are comfortable and pleasant, but not necessarily good. And for our deeds, we should care from the beginning; because the Book of Life does not record the deeds of man from a mature age, but from the early childhood, from the beginning, although it takes into account his awareness and circumstances.

When I found out that there is a God and that He offered us the proof of His love towards us in His Son, I wanted to devote all my life to Him, to the crucified Jesus, in whom I believed wholeheartedly. Christianity was not a popular religion at that time. It was considered rather as a dangerous sect that was feared like fire and destroyed with great ferocity due to this fear, and this is because Christians were free. They submitted to the law of the state only as far as it was consistent with the confession of the One God. Everything that was at odds with Christianity was overlooked and disobeyed. This is why Christians were considered to be mad people, enslaved by their teachers and priests, officiating strange rites, eating blood and flesh in the literal and human sense, and not in the mystical sense. No one, however, who does not have faith, can comprehend what for a Christian are the Blood and the Flesh of his God. All our services and prayers were misunderstood. For the Rome of that time, where reigned the cult of the body and well-being, spiritual faith and worship in a spiritual way were incomprehensible; the communion with God in such a close and real way, but on the spiritual plane. Rome deemed that the worship of a man, whom Rome found guilty and sentenced to death, already is a crime against Rome.

In such circumstances I was born and in such conditions I happened to live, but it never occurred to me that I could have lived in different times. Since God has placed my existence in Rome and at the beginnings of Christianity, it meant to me that this was the best for me. There remained, however, the question: what God wants from me? Why did he call me to life and how could I devote my life to Him, in order to turn out to be grateful and worthy of His act of creation?

b) To see everything in the light of eternity

14.01.2014

Saint Agnes:  When I decided to give myself completely to God, I felt a deep relief in my heart. I was no longer afraid that I will go down the wrong path, that I will be swallowed by the world of games and pleasure, or the love for a man will take away from me the love for God. I chose the purpose of my life and I strove towards it without looking back. The purpose of the life of man on Earth is the Salvation of his soul. Thus, it is totally not worth it to involve ourselves in matters that distance us from this goal.

True faith puts everything in the light of eternity, and in this light material things completely lose their value; instead, spiritual values gain immensely. In this light, it is clearly visible that all material things will undergo destruction and we will not salvage anything from them. And even if we manage to safeguard them from destruction or loss, to what avail? We still need to leave them all behind when departing from this world. Posterity? How do we know whether wealth will be a benefit for our posterity? Or maybe the opposite? Therefore one should not accumulate wealth, and one should not draw excessive joy from what rejoices human senses, because these items, although so fleeting and deceptive, have a great power to beguiled souls. In the light of faith, the human soul climbs on a pedestal. She, as seen through the eyes of eternity, does not lose its value at all, does not grow old, does not decay, does not pass, does not disappear, lasts forever. Therefore, we should care only for her. For her we should care by all means, because the way in which we will proceed with her now, will be decisive about her eternal future.

So I decided to avoid all that could harm my soul, keeping her in proper purity and trying to embellish her as much as possible through virtues, which as I know, are pleasing to God. Since that time, it saddened me to watch maidens in elegant dresses, because I always saw their souls growing poor from that. Striving for my appearance became an excess for me, and I lost all respect for the body. I thought a lot about the fact that it is the dwelling of man on Earth, but God had treated it very cruelly in His Son. Thinking about the sufferings of Jesus, I thus tried to have my body for nothing and, in the measure of possible, to mortify and to torment it. The smaller the body becomes in man, the more his soul grows, and I wanted to have a beautiful soul, because only the soul is eternal.

In that way, by seeing all in the light of faith in God and His Son, our Savior, I brought up my nature, taking away from her all desires and freedoms. The comparison of the world to eternity always brought me the answers to all my dilemmas. Thanks to this method, I was able to distinguish between what is good and what is bad; what should be cultivated and what should be avoided like fire. The man, who truly believes, lives by faith in every moment of life, because he has no time to waste for anything that does not lead to the goal. Also, a good name does not belong to eternity, because a good name in the world does not mean yet a good name in eternity, rather vice versa, as testified to us Lord Jesus Himself. Until now, His great and holy Name was despised, and yet in the highest, there is no greater name. So a good name in the world does not mean anything. It is better to renounce it right away, and then it is not a pity to be judged and despised. What is worth a good name in the world, if after it becomes an infernal torment? The name in Heaven gives God Himself. This name is a reflection of the soul of man and its greatness depends on the greatness of the soul. Only that name counts. To count on Earth is not worth it; it does not help in the salvation of the soul.

c) To never look back

15.01.2014

Saint Agnes:  When we choose a road leading to a goal, we should never look back, because then we can lose sight of the goal and never reach it. However, you can not risk the loss of Salvation; so you also should not put yourself to trial, meditating upon the validity of your decision. I decided that I will forever belong to Jesus and never to anyone else. This decision cost me my life, but I have gained eternal life, and so I have reached my goal.

Once you decide to undertake a sacrifice, then it does not cost that much, but soon everything changes and circumstances become quite different from those, in which you undertook the resolution. However, one should not be deceived by these circumstances. God allows them to trial the love of man and his faithfulness. So if the goal remains the same, the means also remain the same and should not be changed.

No one can predict how his life will unfold, but God knows and when accepting the sacrifice of man, He strives to ensure that it is pure. Soon, it turns out if man undertook it truly out of love for God or for a different reason. Everything becomes clear. If the intentions to undertake the sacrifice are pure, generally man does not deviate from the once chosen path despite all trials. If, however, they are caused by human considerations, then everything is decided during the time of trial. Either the intention and the sacrifice are purified, or one loses this trial. In these temptations to abandon the undertaken sacrifice, we need to stare at the goal, and then all the circumstances are irrelevant. Just like during a march, you should look ahead and not sideways. It is necessary for the preservation of courage and the maintenance of direction.

d) To be born in the morning and to die in the evening

17.01.2014

Saint Agnes:   I told you so far about one method, thanks to which I was able to avert temptations and discern between what is good and what is evil; and today I would like to tell you about the second method, equally effective in the life of faith. One must completely divest oneself of looking at the world from the position of a man living forever.

All people, even though they know that someday they must die, rather believe that they will live a very long time, and even when they are old, they think that they still have time. And I lived the other way around. I always felt that I had little time to prove my love to God. One should expect death at any moment; then it is not a surprise and man is able to accept it, because he lives in anticipation of it. This is not sad, it is true. After all, our destiny is another life, and in this other life we should already rejoice during the earthly life more than in the present life. Each day can be the final day.

When we looks in this way at life, we pay no attention to unimportant things and we have no desire to sin, because who would want to sin just before his death? Also, there is no way to fall out with someone, because before death everyone wishes to reconcile with everybody. I can say that I have tried to live as if I was a one-day’s human, as if every day I had to die and was ready for death each night, and in the morning I woke up again to life, in order to die in the evening. Such was my life, but thanks to this, I did not waste time on superfluous things, and just tried to do as much good as possible, believing that this may be the last day of my life. How valuable then the day becomes; how much one loves it, because it is the last. No matter how hard it is, one loves it anyway. By acting and thinking in this way, we can free ourselves from an awful lot of temptations, truly giving our life to God, and not gaining attachment to anything, even to our own life.

e) Awaiting death and rebirth

20.01.2014

Saint Agnes:  I still absolutely need to tell you about two things. Firstly, during the entire life one should await death; and secondly, during the entire life one should await rebirth, rebirth for the true life. Saints are able to deny themselves everything, because they believe that after death, they will be satiated to the extent to which their faith was strong. They are able to wait for this fulfillment entire years, denying themselves everything.

Those who do not believe are unable to wait. They want to experience everything in this life, fearing that they will not have enough time to enjoy life. However, life starts after death and then comes the time to enjoy life, and on Earth great work awaits man.

For those who worked hard during life, after death comes eternal rest. Without faith, this reality is reversed and people wish to enjoy and to rest on Earth, and after death they pay for this very severely. Work postponed to the second life is much harder, incomparably longer, and more arduous. Achieving holiness after the death requires enormous and long-lasting sufferings, while during lifetime the worst sufferings would be considered the lightest punishment in Purgatory. Also, not everyone gets this chance. Many souls will never again sanctify themselves and will never reach the state of eternal joy. Eternal suffering awaits them.

I could never understand how one can take such risks, to risk such a cruel eternal fate for a moment of sin. Therefore, the whole wisdom of man lies in this: to deepen and to strengthen his faith, thanks to which it is increasingly easier to deny himself for the cause of his future life. Maybe death became too rare for you, so you have forgotten about the future life. Maybe this life, that you lead now, became too comfortable and man does not wish for anything better anymore. But one thing is certain; everything that you possess on Earth is as if it was written with a finger on the sand. Great disappointments await you when you will realize what is this life, to which you attach yourselves so much.
